Individual counselling for disordered eating, body image, anxiety, and the pressure of living in a high-achieving world.
BHES | MSW | RSW
I'm a relational therapist who specializes in disordered eating, body image, anxiety, stress management, and nervous system regulation. If thoughts about food or your body are taking up more space than you want them to, you're not alone.
You might feel disconnected from your body and tired of anxiety, shame, or perfectionism shaping how you value yourself and move through the world.
As someone who played competitive sport in university and recovered from an eating disorder, I understand the challenges that can arise as we navigate life's stressors, social and sport pressures, painful emotions, and an overwhelming relationship with food, body image, and exercise.
I take a non-diet, client-centered, and compassionate approach to counselling and prioritize creating an empathic and supportive space where clients feel understood, seen, and empowered to make meaningful change. My background as a former athlete, certified kinesiologist, and movement instructor deeply informs my holistic approach to caring for the whole person by integrating practices that support mental, physical, and social well-being.
My Approach
I integrate talk therapy and movement-based practices to support healing, nervous system regulation, and emotional resilience, creating a path toward a life that feels aligned with your values and goals.
Health at Every Size® is a weight-inclusive approach that centers body acceptance and well-being over weight loss. I offer a weight-inclusive, non-diet, and body-affirming approach that prioritizes holistic well-being, helping you reconnect with practices that feel nourishing, supportive of health, and grounded in joyful movement and body respect.
I believe the therapeutic relationship is central to healing. I prioritize creating a space where you feel safe and empowered to build a life that feels more intuitive, flexible, and aligned with who you are and how you want to live.
As a kinesiologist and movement instructor, I integrate somatic and movement-based practices alongside talk therapy to support whole-person healing. Together, we explore sustainable practices that support your mind, body, and nervous system.
I integrate CBT, DBT, ACT, parts work and somatic-based practices with a focus on nervous system regulation. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity.
Who I Work With
I work with teens (13+), adults, and athletes who are ready to begin healing their relationship with food, their body, and themselves.
Book a ConsultNavigating body image, anxiety, social pressures, perfectionism, and identity in a world that sends complicated messages about worth and appearance can be overwhelming. Maybe you've learned to attach your worth to your appearance, productivity, or achievement. Therapy can be a space to explore these patterns and reconnect with a sense of self that isn't defined by external expectations.
If you feel like you're in a constant battle with your body, navigating body dysmorphia, or noticing that your body or the number on the scale dictates your mood, emotions, or how you move through the world — there is another way. Together, we can work toward a more peaceful and embodied relationship with your body.
Any relationship with food that causes distress — restriction, binge eating, emotional eating, eating disorder recovery, fear, obsession, or guilt — deserves compassionate care.
Balancing performance demands, body expectations, school or work pressures, and high-achieving anxiety can be exhausting. Over time, it can impact your mental health, your relationship with your sport, and your sense of self. Therapy can help separate your worth from your performance, build an identity that extends beyond achievement, and reconnect with your love for the game.
Chronic stress, nervous system dysregulation, and the exhaustion of doing too much for too long — learning to rest, recover, and reconnect.
Major life changes can feel overwhelming and often bring up old patterns, fears of the unknown, or feelings of loss. Therapy can offer a grounding space to process change, navigate uncertainty, and move through transitions with greater self-compassion.
